Methodology
The methodology for determining and implementing gender-appropriate writing, which is applied in the Gender Agent Gendy, is based on the scientific study "Gender-appropriate German language from a non-native speaker perspective: An online survey with Finnish German speakers" by Marie-Theres Friedl. This study provides insights into the application and acceptance of gender-appropriate language, especially from the perspective of non-native German speakers. These findings have helped us configure Gendy to effectively switch between traditional and gender-neutral language variants.
